Creator-based® Receiving

Trick or Treat!   Are you getting what you want?   Trick or Treat is just around the corner, a day filled with little ghosts and goblins eagerly awaiting their treats, their faces glowing with anticipation and adorned in bright costumes. The sight of these little ones on their parade can be truly delightful.  Have you ever taken a moment to experience the joy of dropping candy into their pillowcase or pumpkin bucket? A child's gratitude and delight can inspire us to contemplate the future in a new light. Generosity is a remarkable and expansive act  that carries the promise of hope and momentum for all involved. When we give generously, we also open ourselves up to receiving. Sharing your time, spirit, and heart generously is a way to grow and welcome overwhelming blessings into your life.  It's almost a paradox that by giving, you receive even more, but that's how these backward laws work.  The truth is, when you give, it often comes back to you in abundance, even if th

Creator-based® Cognition

Creator-based ®  Cognition, what?   Creator-based® Cognition, really? Really, my friend. Cognition is simply a fancy word for thinking, and in the Creator-Based® Way, it's how we shape our understanding of the world. Many factors influence our thinking, from emotions to what we had for breakfast. But the good news is that our cognitive ability is flexible and ever-changing as we grow. You have the power to decide how your cognitive process looks and feels. You choose how to perceive your circumstances—safe or scary, pleasant or repugnant. It might take some effort to change your perspective, but we're naturally flexible in our thinking. Music, scent, movement, nutrition, and energy can all help improve your cognition. However, my favorite way is by choosing my thoughts for the day. As a human creator, I can select any thought I want. To work for me, a thought needs to be heartfelt, at least 10% believable, and mostly possible. Humor or audacity can also help power and brighten

Creator-based® Relationship Help

I often feel lonely. What do I do?   When I was younger, I was often lonely. There weren't kids in the neighborhood my age, and I was by nature introverted and a l bit shy. In 5th grade, though, I did have a best friend, Dawn Romanowski, a good soul with a kind heart. I hope you have had the good fortune of having a best friend during your lifetime, a friend who, for a time, understood and appreciated you for who you deeply and truly are. It is an amazing comfort and makes things right with your world. When I think of my best friendships, I can’t help but smile. My heart warms with the memory. They are such a gift, temporary though they are. The question for you this week is, what was the history of being besties in that friendship? Where did you meet? What stood out for you about that person and made you want to be friends? Why did the relationship continue? What were the hallmark moments you shared? If you can, write it down. As you write, more will come, and so will the gratit

Creator-based® Joy

Open the door to receiving with JOY   Life can get busy and stressful. But guess what? I recently stumbled upon something that might just add a touch of  magic to your daily grind. Have you ever heard of  joy-ercise ? It's this incredible concept from Amanda Gore's book 'Wired for Joy,' and it's like a throwback to the fun days of Jazzercise from the '90s. Joy-ercise is all about infusing your life with positivity, and it's pretty amazing. Now, imagine this:  Instead of that never-ending, overwhelming to-do list, let's try something different this week – a Ta-da List!  Remember the pure joy of celebrating small wins with a triumphant "Ta-da!"? Well, you can do the same with your everyday tasks. Picture finishing that email, tidying up, or conquering a challenging phone call, and then breaking out into a delighted "Ta-da!" Maybe even throw in a little twirl – trust me,  it's bound to bring a smile to your face. In a world where s

Creator-based® Conflicts

Has something gone wrong?   Some days are tough. Some days are lovely.  Some days are a combination of both. Such is the nature of a 50/50 life. A 50/50 life is a wonderful life.  We appreciate the sunshine because we have had contrasting rain and the rain because  one really can have too much sunshine. (It’s called drought.) 50/50 is the way to go.  Or is it?  Have you had seasons where you wondered if things were broken  and you were only trying to make yourself feel better? That’s part of a 50/50 Life, too. Wondering. Discomfort. Feeling lost. Wondering some more. The problems start when wondering begets worrying. Worrying beget angst. Angst begets anger. Anger begets regret. Regret begets shame. Shame begets… Well, my friend, let me save you from the rest of the begets…. When things start to look dicey, ask your heart this important question  (and listen to the response in heart language: emotions and feelings.) What if who you are is exactly who you are supposed to be? What if y
