Has something gone wrong?

 

Some days are tough. Some days are lovely. Some days are a combination of both.


Such is the nature of a 50/50 life.


A 50/50 life is a wonderful life. We appreciate the sunshine because we have had contrasting rain and the rain because one really can have too much sunshine. (It’s called drought.)


50/50 is the way to go. Or is it? 


Have you had seasons where you wondered if things were broken 

and you were only trying to make yourself feel better?


That’s part of a 50/50 Life, too.


Wondering. Discomfort. Feeling lost. Wondering some more.


The problems start when wondering begets worrying.

Worrying beget angst.

Angst begets anger.

Anger begets regret.

Regret begets shame.

Shame begets…

Well, my friend, let me save you from the rest of the begets….


When things start to look dicey, ask your heart this important question (and listen to the response in heart language: emotions and feelings.)


What if who you are is exactly who you are supposed to be?

What if you’re just right, right now?


Breathe that thought down deep and let it sink in for a few minutes.


It’s truth.

You are perfectly placed at this moment.


In fact, one could even go so far as to say you’re perfectly you.

And that is one amazing creation!


This week, try on the truth that you are just right right now.

Of course, you will grow and change; that’s our 50/50 nature.

But for this moment, now, you’re right where you belong.

And that feels pretty good!

  Monday Morning Inspiration June 2024 |  EDITION NO. 00230 This made me giggle- we have so many choices and options that sometimes I forget that behaving “becomingly” is an option…. I hope you become what you want to be today. Do you sometimes feel like a 'woman without"? You may be familiar with the Bible story told of a poor widow bringing her offering to the temple.  It was such a small amount, a mite. It was not even enough to buy her bread and cheese for a single meal.  Would it really make any difference?
