Tis the Season to Do Less and Expect More!

Monday Morning Inspiration
Hey, have you noticed the holidays are upon us? Yes? The screaming Black Friday advertising has really been something, and today, as you know already, is Cyber Monday.

With all this advertising, I get an inner ‘gift-giving script’running.

It starts with an advertising message, a great deal, a suggestion of ‘free happiness with purchase’…..
What if I miss a sale? Better get it now!
I need to buy —— for ——- don’t forget!
Oh, maybe that’s not really good enough…
They’re gonna be disappointed-
AND IT ESCALATES!

Buy more.
Do more.
Be more.

Ick!

Here’s an idea that has helped me a lot.
It has brought me back to myself.
I hope it will do the same for you.
I learned this lesson recently when I worked too hard and got myself all out of whack.
When I finally paused to rest and listen, my Creator pointed out that I didn’t need to work as hard as I was.

It’s the power of community.
We live in a collective with other human beings.
There are billions of people on this planet.
Living and loving in a collective group will allow you to do less and expect more.

Now, don’t stop reading- I promise there’s something good here for you…

If we each do a little good today, amazing things can and will happen.

It was not for me to work like I had to save the world.
It’s not for you to save the world.
It is for me to do a Little Good and then rest and trust.
There are so many others helping along side you.  Just watch.
It’s for you to do a little bit of good, and then rest and trust too.
You can reset and find joy as you do your little bit and
trust that our Creator has the rest.
In this way, we can do less and expect more.

Ideas for doing “a little” good:
Smile at someone
Say thank you.
Pay for the person behind you in line.
‘Cheerfully’ make way for that pushy someone in a hurry.
Extend kind compassion to an aggravator.
Tell yourself “it’s okay”
Because it is.

If each of us does a little good today, just a little, the world will be exponentially better.
All it takes is a moment and you can know you have done your part.
The satisfaction of having done your little bit will accelerate your progress
and you really will do less and accomplish more.

Try it today.  Do a little good.  Just a little.
All my love,
Beth
