You are the Creator's Gift

Image
I see your goodness and value.   Merry Christmas!   This is traditionally a day of giving gifts and time with loved ones. You are our loved ones. I know; you roll your eyes and say in skepticism and disbelief, “You don’t even know me.” But I do.  If you are reading this letter, you are the one I write for.   I write for you, for every soul who has ever felt a whisper of inadequacy, a fleeting sense of not measuring up. The size of that deficiency increases or decreases depending on the season…but it’s always there in some way, be it large or small.  It’s part of being human to think that we are not enough .  But let's take a moment to reconsider. On this Day of Creator Celebration and Gifts, I humbly propose:  You are a gift.  There it is again. I can almost see the raised eyebrows, the playful disbelief, but hear me out.  Just as there are no two snowflakes alike, no two people are alike.  We are different by Divine Design. ...

A Creator-based® Christmas!

Embracing Your Creator Role with Grace   As we dive into this festive season, the whirlwind of holiday activities can sometimes sweep us off our feet.  Personally, I revel in the magic of Christmas and discovering the beauty in Hanukkah and other winter celebrations. The diversity, the lessons, and the shared joy in each holiday contribute to the magic of this special time of year. Yet,  my absolute favorite is Christmas  – a time for me to center myself and celebrate my Creator. Amidst the hustle and bustle, there are  moments when I unintentionally slip out of my creator role  and find myself being influenced by the holidays rather than actively shaping how I engage with them. I feel like a victim to my to-do list. Sound familiar? There are  two key indicators the role shift: thoughts and feelings. Alert messages manifest in thoughts laden with  'have to,' 'must,' 'should,' and 'gotta'  – clear signals that I've relinquished my creator po...

Creator-based® Contentment for Christmas!

Image
Happy Holidays from CMH Coaching, my friend!  The Christmas season is upon us, with echoes of good cheer and holiday demands. Imagine waking up each day with a stretch and a big smile,  f eeling totally content with what you're doing and where you are.  Picture a world where stress takes a backseat, and everything feels just right. – now, that  sounds like a dream come true, doesn't it? Let's take a stroll down memory lane to the days of preschool and the magical sandbox adventures at the age of 3. The sandbox was like  a personal haven, a place where I could be anyone I wanted, feeling completely whole.  Fast forward to kindergarten, and things started to change. School was about achieving something- doing instead of being. No time for contentment! Does the thought of being content make you worry?  Perhaps a tiny concern that losing the usual discontent-driven motivation, you might not achieve as much? Surprise! It's the exact opposite. ...

Creator-based® Christmas ECHOes

Image
Working with the ECHO of Christmas Past   Happy Holidays! This month, we are reading ‘Marley’ in our weekly TreVega Book Club. Marley is the prequel for Ebenezer Scrooge’s guide through the “Echo” of his Christmases Past.  Click here  to join us on the 50/50 Girl Club and learn more. Navigating the echoes of past holidays can be a profound journey, and understanding the ECHO framework —  E vent,  C ontext,  H omeostatic shift, and  O utcomes — provides a valuable map for this exploration. Just like Ebenezer Scrooge confronted his Christmas Past with the help of Marley's ghost, we too can delve into our own echoes and transform them. Alex Howard, in his book "It's Not Your Fault," defines a life ECHO like this: E - the  Event C -the  Context  (the meaning we give the event) H -The  Homeostatic  shift  O - The  Outcome  in our future life events The Homeostatic shift (H) is particularly interesting. When int...
