Creator-based® Carry On!

Sometimes I get tired.   Let’s face it; I am often tired.   It’s a condition of being human. The question is, what will I do with that feeling of tiredness in my body? I could lay down and rest. (Not likely- since I really want to get things done.) I could eat something sugary and sweet. (Less likely, because nutrition is super important to me) I could tell myself how unfair life is and just complain in my mind for a while. Will I spin tales of woe and self-sacrifice?   Or perhaps injustice and persecution? (I have a vivid imagination and am quite good at this one, but it doesn’t make me feel good.) Or will I be quiet and listen to what my body tells me? She is my best friend, you know. She will go to the mat to keep me going and doing. If I choose quiet instead of storytelling I may find a troubling thought creating that feeling of tiredness. Maybe I don’t want to do something. Maybe I think I am not good enough. Maybe I am considering past hurts. Maybe I am indulging in...

Creator-based® Complaints

Have you or someone you love ever had an earache? They plagued me as a child. It was the worst pain I could remember at that young age. Long, frozen Michigan winters, plenty of time out in the wind and snow, and simply building an immune system as a child kept me in colds and their resultant earaches for years. Then, there was the 'stopped up ear.' Argh! Feeling like if you could dig in there deep enough, you could pull out a big glob of whatever kept me from hearing. It made winters long and often frustrating. If you have experienced swimmer's ear, you get that one. What do you use for earache and stopped-up ear relief? In our family, the first thing we do is check for outer ear blockages. There's not a piece of gum, a lego, or a ton of earwax in there, is there? Then we look for infection or irritation. We love warm garlic mullein oil in a sore ear- so comforting! We also love Hyland's earache remedy. Both have helped us get more sleep on earache pla...

The Creator-based® Climb

Image
The Creator-based ® Climb I am afraid of heights, so I have never personally climbed a mountain. When we have driven over them, I have been very grateful to get back down to the rolling hills and prairies of my home sweet home. I didn't do the tall slides on the playground or hang upside down much on the monkey bars as a kid. As a homebody, climbing does not come naturally; however, I do know a few things about ascension as a life creator.  In the context of inviting and allowing challenges and climbing opportunities in-house, there is plenty of opportunity for adventure and courage. Where would courage in the climb be practical? Maybe in one of these situations: Your bestie has found another best friend- and you're kind of out in the cold and lonesome. You overheard a conversation in which you were mentioned, and it was not complimentary. You bombed a presentation, allowing your fear to get the best of you. Each of these situations could be a grand adventure in creating th...

Creator-based® Context

Image
Creator-based® Context; Context is everything! Have you ever heard the phrase, 'context is everything'? Perhaps you have walked into a conversation in the middle and it sounded horrific, only to have a kind soul explain what was said before your arrival and suddenly everything made sense? Context, or perspective, makes a huge difference in the peace we feel in our lives. Perspective and focus can be like using a magnifying glass to amplify and focus on issues. Yes, you can see every intricate detail, but  it can blow them all out of proportion, distorting our view with all of the details. Focus and magnification can be friend or foe depending on where they are placed . When life feels distorted, rebalance your focus by creating and using a personal filter of seeing as your Creator sees. I once heard it referred to as using eternal eyeglasses- aka- using a super long-range perception to get the whole picture. Look out there, way beyond the horizon.  l...
